
Senpai Jenny

Originally from Borneo Malaysia. Following in her eldest sister’s footsteps, Senpai Jenny began karate at the age of 11 years old, not realising it would become a lifelong passion. Senpai Jenny is originally a Shotokan Karate practitioner and has only recently been exploring the Style of Shitoryu under the guidance of Sensei Maurice Matteucci and his Blackbelts. She has a strong interest in both Kata and Kumite. Achieving her Black Belt 1st Dan in Shotokan, Jenny has been recommended by various Sensei’s to grade for a higher Dan’s.
Participating in many local, regional, national and international championships for both Malaysia and Australia, some of Senpai Jenny’s top achievements are:
- 14th Malaysian Olympics – Gold medal in Karate sport (Kumite under 53kg)
- Selected as Female Captain for Australian team in 12 Shotokan Karate-do International Federation World Championships 2016
- 2-time Australian team representative in Shotokan Karate-do International Federation World Championship 2012 & 2016
- Best female athlete in Karate sport under Shotokan Karate International Australia Organisation 2011 & 2015.
Senpai Jenny is currently training under Sensei Maurice to further her study of Shitoryu Karate.
